Preaching the Gospel Through YouTube

Below are some samples of our 15-second, 30-second, and 1-minute+ videos.  The messages can be altered to include the contact information for your local church, and when the advertising campaign is set up, we can have it arranged that viewers who would like to know more are directed to your churches homepage or gospel blog.  We can target campaigns within a four kilometer (2.5 mile) radius around your chapel building, or target your entire city.  If your local church is not yet equipped to handle extra internet traffic, we are happy to run a campaign in your area, using our own landing pages and contact info to field any responses.  Contact us today to discuss video outreach in your area, or you can make a general donation to the work of FBH, and help ensure we can continue to spread the gospel through this method.

30-Second Videos

These videos allow us slightly more time to present the gospel to the viewer.  Because of the extended length, the viewer has the option to skip the ad message after the first five-seconds have passed.  An advantage to this, however, is it opens up a new set of analytics data, allowing us to better understand how effective the reach has been for a particular campaign.  Often we will use a scannable QR code as an additional means of directing viewers to the target website.

Love Is…

Created: February 2025

This video focuses on what true, Biblical love is, from 1 Corinthians 13, and then goes on to explain how that is exactly the love that God showed toward all mankind through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  The first campaign for this video lasted 10-days, and was the strongest performing video for FBH since we started this method of evangelism.  Over those ten days, the video was watched by over 140,000 people throughout Canada and the USA, and directed about 650 people to the landing page where they could learn more about God’s love for us.

Don’t Miss Out

Created: March 2024

On April 8, 2024, a total eclipse of the sun was going to be visible in several cities across North America.  In the Niagara region, they were announcing that more than a million people would be visiting to view the phenomenon.  In preparation for that, we created the “Don’t Miss Out” message, to be shown throughout Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Buffalo, New York, during the weekend of the eclipse.  It was well received, with a 59% view rate, and 15,000 people reached over the weekend.

15-Second Videos

The original format for the YouTube gospel campaigns, these short but impactful messages were designed to plant the seeds of the gospel.  The 15-second length allows us to use these messages as ads that cannot be skipped by the viewer.  The obvious advantage is that we can be certain that the audience has received the entire message.  However, the data we can glean from the unskippable videos is low, making it difficult to get an accurate measure of audience engagement.  Still, when it comes to just getting the Word out to as many people as possible, these are a fantastic and very low-cost option.

The Hour Is Now

“The Hour Is Now” was the first gospel video message FBH used in the YouTube gospel program.  It was fast-paced and urgent in nature, as we realized getting the most important message ever given to mankind into 15-seconds was quite a challenge.  We started our early campaigns by blanketing the entire country of Canada for a week.  This strategy changed as we went on, as we realized that with such a vast target area, these message were only being seen once by the viewer.  By localizing the video ad to a single city or region, the same viewer would receive the message multiple times over the length of the campaign.  During its first run, “The Hour Is Now” was reached almost 40,000 people, at a total cost of $400

John 3:16

It makes sense that one of the most popular verses in the Bible, is also the theme for one of our most popular gospel videos.  The John 3:16 message has been viewed through the YouTube advertising program 237,805 times since it was first launched.  Many of those were specifically for local churches, who asked to have their contact information put into the video.

1-Minute+  Videos

While the 15-second videos provide the unskippable benefit, and the 30-second messages are consistent with standard advertising spots, we also use message that are 1-minute or longer.  The obvious benefit to these extended videos, is that we can put more information into the message, or be more creative in how we deliver the message.

You Are Loved

Created: April 2022

What originally started off as a test of new animation software, the “You Are Loved” video has turned into one of our best-performing, long format ad videos.  Across several separate campaigns, in different locations, this message has enjoyed a remarkable 58% view rate.  That translates into 86,790 views of this message on YouTube.  Unique in that there are no spoken words in the entire video, this message uses music and anticipation to keep the viewer engaged, while also touching on many of the emotional issues the viewer may be experiencing.

The Bread Of Life

Created: November 2021

The first video series we produced in the 2020’s was a short set of gospel devotionals through the “I Am” statements of Jesus.  These messages were developed to be video tracts, that could be shared through social media platforms like Facebook, or by emailing links to friends and family members.  In 2023, we repurposed these into gospel video ad campaigns.  While some of them, due to length or style, were not adequate for this format, others performed very well, again seeing view rates of 60% or higher.  This video, along with “The Resurrection and the Life”, and “The Light of the World”, have reached over 30,000 people since 2023.
